tidbits of joy.

Many times here i feel as if God is taking my face and just pushing it straight into the dirt, rubbing my head back and forth in it. He wants me to remember how that dirt tastes, feels and smells. As he lifts my head back up, a new appreciation for life, love and growth emerges. But then as that lesson is taught, my face goes right back into the dirt for another one...and another...and another...

It's been a hard few weeks here, but I am thankful for my brothers and sisters who love me. By calling miss. valentine tonight, i was given a special treat of hearing three other lady's voices. To hear they were spending time around a bowl of brownies in the same kitchen that i shared for a year and a half made me smile. they helped me to remember what it is like to be spending an evening with your gals, eating chocolate, drinking wine and just embracing each other for a few hours. being here those memories had left me. It's such a nonexistant happening here. I am so so thankful they put those memories back in my head. Those memories are worth quite a bit to me.
