keeping up.

August happenings: A trip to Texas to visit family with a four hour wait in one of the smallest airports I’ve seen.  We entertained ourselves by taking funny photos and reading Princess Bride aloud to one another (we’re finally ¾ of the way done!); getting back on our morning schedule; a visit to the Kentucky State Fair (a sight to see!); a late harvest!!!!  We still have leftover ice cream, but these pole beans trump the vanilla bean sitting in the freezer.  Jus Sayin’.  The cabbage is almost ready to be made into sauerkraut, stir fry, ata kilt (an Ethiopian dish), and polish beef rolls!  I have to say, even though the wait seemed unnecessary, it seems worth it.
September awaits with a dear one’s wedding we’re a part of, a start of a new project, wrapping up old projects, and the hope of the autumn breeze rolling in.  Busy-ness seems to be intertwined in that as well…day by day, by day, by day.  That’s the best way to roll with it.
