Eben just went through his third month of his life! It was filled with an adventurous visit from Gammy, new sounds to communicate, his first museum visit, a few picnics and his new skill of grabbing. Here's just a few pictures of our happenings this past month:
Gammy (my mom) came to visit for a week! We went on all kinds of fun adventures, such as a trip to Brighton Beach, Prospect Park Zoo, a few picnics and strolls in Prospect Park, a Target run (so much smoother with company along!) and a delicious afternoon visit to Ample Hills Creamery.
Eben's developing quite the personality! We're having so much fun talking, laughing and interacting with him.
Oh I love nursing this little guy. It brings such nice pauses in the day (and snuggles at night!). I absolutely love it when he's super happy and wants to have a conversation or just looks up and smiles at me in the middle of nursing. It reminds me the he and I have such a special bond that continues to grow. These times are such sweet memories in the making.
When my mom was in town, she babysat Eben for a few hours so Tim and I could go on a date. This was our first date post baby! I have to admit, before this, I never understood why friends with kids would get so excited to go out on a Friday night for just two hours...and starting at 6:30pm. I totally understand now! It was two glorious hours of uninterrupted conversation, food that was eaten with both hands (instead of one because the other is occupied with a baby) and the strange feeling of 'nobody knows we're parents....! (There are many things that are starting to make sense since being parents that didn't make sense on the 'other side'.) But we had a great time eating and drinking at the Crown Inn and walking around Franklin Ave, hand in hand. And two hours was plenty of time :)
